EVENT INFORMATION
1. When and where is Home Design Evening Melbourne 2026?
Home Design Evening Melbourne will take place on Friday, 16 October 2026 at Lakeside Pavilion.
Venue: Lakeside Pavilion
Address: 36 Lakeside Drive, Albert Park, Victoria 3206
Event: 5.00pm to 9.00pm
Exhibitor registration: 3.30pm to 4.00pm
Exhibitor networking: 4.00pm to 4.45pm
Doors open: 5.00pm
2. What is the dress code?
The dress code for the evening is smart casual.
3. Who will be attending the event?
Home Design Evening brings together homeowners undertaking significant building and renovation projects, architects, designers and other industry professionals.
Attendees are vetted as part of the registration process to help ensure exhibitors are meeting relevant people with genuine projects or involvement in the architecture, design and construction industry.
4. Why does ArchiPro vet attendees?
The purpose of vetting is to maintain the quality of the audience in the room.
Homeowner registration captures information about their project, including location, project type, stage and budget. Professional attendees are also reviewed to ensure they are genuinely working within the industry.
For exhibitors, this means the evening is focused on meaningful conversations rather than simply generating foot traffic.
YOUR EXHIBITION SPACE
5. What size is my exhibition space?
Your stand size depends on the exhibitor package you have purchased.
Your confirmed package and stand allocation will be communicated directly to you by the ArchiPro team.
Everything you bring into the venue, including furniture, product displays, signage and any exhibitor pod you have requested, must remain within your allocated footprint.
If you are unsure of your stand dimensions, please contact event@archipro.com.au before planning your display.
6. How will I know exactly where my stand starts and finishes?
Your exhibition space will be marked out before pack-in begins so you can clearly see the footprint available to you.
Please ensure your entire display remains within this area and does not extend into neighbouring stands, walkways or access routes.
7. When will I receive the final floorplan?
Exhibitors may receive a draft floorplan earlier in the planning process.
The final floorplan will be shared closer to the event once exhibitor placements and event requirements have been finalised.
8. What is included with my exhibition space?
Your inclusions depend on the package you have purchased and any additional items you have arranged.
If you have requested or purchased an exhibitor pod, this will be incorporated into your allocated space.
If you are unsure what is included in your package, please contact the ArchiPro Events team before ordering or building additional stand elements.
9. Can I purchase an exhibitor pod?
Yes. If you would like to purchase a pod for your exhibition space, please contact event@archipro.com.au and the team can assist.
10. I have never exhibited before. Who can help me build my stand?
You do not need to build your display entirely yourself.
If this is your first exhibition, or you would like professional support with your stand, exhibition suppliers can assist with design, furniture, display systems, construction and installation.
Companies that exhibitors may wish to speak with include:
- Select Exhibitions
- Galiant Hire
- Harry the Hirer
We recommend contacting suppliers early and providing them with your exact stand dimensions, venue information, pack-in requirements and event date.
11. Can someone build my entire stand for me?
Yes. Exhibition companies can provide anything from individual hire items through to a complete stand design and build.
Any external contractor working onsite must comply with the venue's access and health and safety requirements.
Please share relevant contractor or installation requirements with the ArchiPro Events team ahead of the event.
12. Can I bring furniture and my own display elements?
Yes, provided everything fits safely within your allocated footprint and complies with venue requirements.
Remember that every component of your stand needs to be physically transported into the venue. Please consider dimensions, weight and access when designing your stand.
13. Can my stand be taller than the standard display height?
Any stand exceeding 3.5 metres in height requires prior approval.
Please contact the ArchiPro Events team before committing to the design or production of a stand above this height.
14. Can another exhibitor's display block my stand?
The floorplan is designed to provide visibility across the exhibition floor and allow guests to move comfortably through the venue.
Exhibitors also have a responsibility to ensure their display does not unnecessarily obstruct neighbouring stands or shared sightlines.
If you are planning a tall, wide or enclosed installation, please let us know in advance.
If you have a specific concern about your location or a neighbouring display, contact the ArchiPro Events team before pack-in so we can review it.
STAND DESIGN, SIGNAGE AND BRANDING
15. Can I bring a pull-up banner?
We strongly discourage pull-up banners.
Home Design Evening is designed to feel considered, design-led and visually cohesive. We want products and materials to be the focus of each display, rather than traditional trade show signage.
We recommend incorporating your brand into the stand itself and creating a display that gives guests something to see, touch and experience.
16. Can we hand out flyers?
We recommend avoiding loose flyers.
Guests will be moving around the event with food, drinks and other items, so traditional flyers are often difficult to carry and can create unnecessary waste.
Brochures or more considered printed material that guests can choose to take are fine.
Where possible, we recommend using QR codes and digital follow-up to share additional product information.
17. Why does ArchiPro need my logo as a vector, EPS or AI file?
High-resolution vector artwork allows your logo to be reproduced clearly across event signage, exhibitor pods and promotional material.
Standard JPG or low-resolution PNG files may not reproduce well at larger sizes.
Please provide your logo in the requested format when submitting your exhibitor assets or send to event@archipro.com.au
PACK-IN
18. What time can I start setting up?
Pack-in takes place between 9.00am and 3.00pm on Friday, 16 October 2026.
Exhibitors will be allocated a pack-in time within this window.
The loading dock closes at 2.35pm, so anything requiring loading dock access must be completed before this time.
All stands need to be fully set up before exhibitor registration begins.
19. Why do exhibitors have allocated pack-in times?
Allocated pack-in times help us manage the number of vehicles, deliveries, contractors and large items entering the venue at once.
They are particularly important for exhibitors using the loading area, bringing heavy products or requiring crane access.
Please arrive within the time allocated to you.
20. Can I arrive whenever I want between 9.00am and 3.00pm?
Please follow your allocated pack-in time rather than arriving at any point during the full pack-in window.
This helps us keep the loading area moving and reduces delays for all exhibitors.
If you have an issue with your allocated time, contact the Events team before event day.
21. When can deliveries arrive?
Incoming deliveries must be scheduled during your pack-in allocation.
Deliveries should arrive between 9.00am and 2.00pm on Friday, 16 October and all items must be clearly labelled.
If you are arranging a courier or specialist delivery, make sure the supplier has your company name and any relevant onsite contact information.
Please notify us in advance about any unusual or large deliveries.
22. Can I send products to the venue before event day?
Do not send items to the venue outside the confirmed event delivery window unless you have arranged this directly with the ArchiPro Events team.
Onsite storage is extremely limited and the venue is not staffed outside event hours.
23. What do I need to wear during pack-in?
The following are mandatory during pack-in:
- Covered shoes
- Identification
- Your own high-visibility vest
You will not be permitted onsite during pack-in without the required safety clothing.
Children are not permitted onsite during pack-in.
24. Do I need to bring my own trolley?
Yes, if you require one.
The venue does not provide forklifts, pallet jacks or trolleys for exhibitor use.
You are responsible for bringing or arranging the people and equipment required to move your products safely.
STAIRS, HEAVY ITEMS AND CRANE ACCESS
25. Is there lift access to the exhibition space?
No.
There is no lift access available to the exhibition space. Smaller items can be carried using the stairs.
Please consider this when deciding what products, furniture and display elements you bring.
26. How wide are the venue doors?
All door openings measure approximately 2000mm high by 1350mm wide.
Every component of your display that needs to enter through these doors must fit within these dimensions.
Please check your product dimensions before event day.
27. What if my product is too large or heavy for the stairs?
If an item cannot reasonably or safely be carried via the stairs, crane access may be required.
The crane lifts items from ground level to the main balcony entrance. Once an item reaches the balcony, it is the exhibitor's responsibility to have enough people available to move the item from the balcony into the venue and into its final position.
Please contact the Events team well in advance if you think you may require crane access.
28. What information do I need to provide if I require a crane?
Please provide:
- What the item is
- Number of items
- Length, width and height
- Approximate weight
- Any unusual shape or handling requirements
This allows the team to determine the appropriate access requirements and coordinate your pack-in.
29. Does my product need to be packaged to use the crane?
No. Your product does not need to be packaged simply because it is being moved by crane.
It does, however, need to be suitable and safe to lift.
Please provide details of the item in advance so the appropriate lifting process can be confirmed.
30. What counts as a heavy item?
The venue requires us to be notified about items weighing more than 20kg.
Please tell us about heavy items before the event.
This includes individual products as well as heavy parts of your display, such as stairs, stone, large furniture, appliances, joinery or display structures.
31. I have several heavy pieces. What information should I provide?
Please tell us:
- How many pieces you are bringing
- Approximate weight of each piece
- Dimensions
- How you plan to move them
- Whether specialist lifting equipment is required
For example, if your display involves multiple stairs or components weighing 25 to 30kg each, let us know how many there are rather than only providing the total weight.
32. Can ArchiPro staff help carry my products?
Exhibitors are responsible for supplying enough staff or contractors to unload, move, install and remove their own display.
Please do not rely on ArchiPro or venue staff to move heavy products.
33. Can I bring my own forklift or specialist equipment?
External equipment may be possible, but it must be discussed with ArchiPro in advance.
If you plan to hire a forklift or other specialist equipment, please provide the details so the venue can be notified and any safety or access requirements can be reviewed.
CRANE PACK-OUT
34. Can I also use a crane to remove my display after the event?
If you require crane assistance during pack-out, let the ArchiPro Events team know before event day.
Crane access needs to be planned in advance and coordinated with the wider pack-out process.
Final timings and instructions for exhibitors using crane access will be communicated directly to those exhibitors.
35. Should I tell you about crane requirements even if I only need it for pack-out?
Yes.
Please tell us about both your pack-in and pack-out requirements ahead of the event.
Do not assume a crane will automatically be available after the event unless this has been arranged with the Events team.
RIGGING, LIGHTING, POWER AND AV
36. Can I hang something above my stand?
Possibly, but this must be arranged in advance.
Rigging bars are not available above every exhibition space, so your stand location needs to be checked before confirming any overhead installation.
The ceiling is approximately 4.8 metres high and there are spherical pendant lights throughout the venue that may affect your proposed installation.
Contact event@archipro.com.au before finalising anything that needs to be suspended.
37. Do I need to organise rigging before event day?
Yes.
Rigging cannot be organised informally once you arrive onsite.
Please discuss your requirements with the Events team early so availability, positioning, suppliers and any associated costs can be confirmed.
38. Is there lighting in the venue?
Yes, there is general venue lighting.
However, exhibitors should consider whether additional lighting would improve how their particular products or materials are presented.
This can be especially important for surfaces, finishes, furniture, samples and products where colour, texture or detail needs to be seen clearly.
39. Can I add additional lighting to my stand?
Please contact the Events team if you would like additional lighting.
We can help confirm what is possible within your space and connect you with the appropriate supplier if required.
Any additional lighting should be planned before the event rather than brought in and installed without approval on the day.
40. Can I add a screen or AV to my stand?
Yes.
If you would like a screen or require additional AV, please contact event@archipro.com.au.
The Events team can connect you with the appropriate suppliers and confirm what is suitable for your exhibition space.
41. Is there Wi-Fi at the venue?
Yes. Event Wi-Fi will be available.
Final Wi-Fi details will also be available onsite.
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
42. Can I bring laptops, screens, tablets or other electrical equipment?
Yes, but all electrical equipment used within the venue must comply with venue health and safety requirements.
Please make sure any electrical equipment you plan to use is safe, compliant and ready before event day.
43. Do my electrical cords and devices need to be tested and tagged?
Electrical equipment brought into the venue must meet the venue's electrical safety requirements.
If you are bringing laptops, screens, tablets, lighting, appliances or other powered equipment, please ensure these are appropriately tested and compliant ahead of the event.
Non-compliant electrical equipment may not be permitted to be used onsite.
PARKING, LOADING AND VEHICLES
44. Where do I go when I arrive to unload?
The loading bay is located in the car park connected to Lakeside Pavilion, including the driveway leading towards the main foyer.
When you arrive, park in the appropriate loading area and advise the Venue Manager of your arrival and company name.
Please follow venue staff directions throughout the unloading process.
45. Can I park on Lakeside Drive while unloading?
Delivery vehicles can use the designated area along Lakeside Drive to unload.
Once unloading is complete, vehicles must be moved and reparked as required so the area remains accessible for other exhibitors and deliveries.
46. Can I leave my vehicle in the loading area during the event?
No.
Loading areas need to remain available for event operations and other exhibitors.
Once your vehicle has been unloaded, please move it to an appropriate parking location.
47. Where should I park for the event?
Please allow enough time to unload, move your vehicle and return to the venue before exhibitor registration.
Final parking recommendations and any event-specific instructions will be communicated to exhibitors ahead of the event.
STORAGE, PACKAGING AND WASTE
48. Can I store boxes and packaging at the venue during the event?
Storage is extremely limited.
If you require storage before, during or after the event, please contact the Events team in advance. Storage will depend entirely on available space.
Where possible, we recommend removing unnecessary transport packaging once your stand has been installed.
49. Can I leave packaging or rubbish behind after setting up?
No.
Exhibitors are responsible for removing their own exhibition packaging and waste.
There is no general provision for exhibition packaging or large-scale exhibitor waste.
If you require additional cleaning or waste removal, contact the Events team in advance so venue costs can be confirmed.
50. Who is responsible for cleaning my stand?
You are responsible for keeping your exhibition space clean and presentable.
Venue staff will not clean individual stands unless this has been specifically arranged in advance.
EVENT DAY
51. What time do exhibitor staff need to arrive?
All exhibitor staff should arrive between 3.30pm and 4.00pm for registration.
From 4.00pm to 4.45pm, there will be an opportunity for exhibitors to network and familiarise themselves with the event before doors open.
Guests arrive from 5.00pm.
Please ensure your stand is fully installed, tidy and ready before registration begins.
52. Can we continue setting up after guests arrive?
No.
Your stand needs to be completely ready before the event opens.
Tools, boxes, packaging and installation equipment should be removed from the exhibition floor before guests arrive.
53. How many staff can I have on my stand?
Your staff allocation depends on your exhibitor package.
Your confirmed ticket allocation will be communicated directly to you.
Staff tickets are intended for people who will be working on your stand and engaging with attendees about your products, services or practice.
54. Can I purchase additional staff tickets?
If you require additional staff onsite, please contact event@archipro.com.au.
The team can confirm availability and any applicable costs.
55. Can I give unused staff tickets to clients or friends?
No.
Exhibitor staff tickets are intended for staff actively working on your stand.
Homeowners and industry professionals wishing to attend should register through the normal attendee registration process so they can be appropriately vetted.
56. Can another product supplier attend without exhibiting?
Product suppliers are not able to attend the event simply as general attendees.
If another supplier is interested in participating, please direct them to the ArchiPro Events team to discuss exhibiting opportunities.
57. Can architects and designers attend without exhibiting?
Yes.
Eligible architecture and design professionals can register to attend the event as professional guests.
Registrations are reviewed to ensure attendees are genuinely working within the industry.
LEAD CAPTURE
58. How do I capture leads at the event?
Exhibitors will have access to ArchiPro's lead scanning system.
Attendees will have a QR code associated with their registration. When you have a meaningful conversation with an attendee, you can scan their code to capture their information for post-event follow-up.
Full instructions will be shared with exhibitors before the event.
59. What information can I collect when I scan an attendee?
The lead scanning system is designed to provide useful information collected during attendee registration.
For homeowners, this may include details relating to their project, project stage, budget and other information relevant to exhibitors.
This gives your team more context for post-event follow-up than collecting a name or business card alone.
60. When will I get access to my leads?
Lead information captured through the exhibitor lead scanning system will be available following the event.
Please make sure your team understands how to use the scanner before doors open so potential leads are not missed.
61. Will someone show us how to use the scanner?
Yes.
Instructions will be provided before the event and the ArchiPro team will be onsite to assist if you have any issues.
We strongly recommend setting this up before arriving rather than waiting until guests are in the room.
GIVEAWAYS AND PROMOTIONS
62. Can I run a giveaway from my stand?
If you are planning a giveaway, competition or significant promotional activation, please discuss it with the ArchiPro Events team first.
We want promotions to add to the overall experience of the evening and be appropriate for the audience.
63. Are there goodie bags?
We recommend focusing on thoughtful stand interactions and digital follow-up rather than relying on generic promotional material.
If you would like to offer an exclusive incentive, product sample or post-event offer, think about how this can become part of the conversation at your stand and your follow-up with leads.
64. Can I give away samples?
Please contact the Events team if you are planning to distribute food, beverages, large product samples or anything requiring specific venue approval.
Smaller product samples may be suitable, depending on the product and activation.
OPEN FLAMES AND SPECIAL ACTIVATIONS
65. Can I have an open flame or working fireplace on my stand?
Anything involving gas cylinders, naked flames or combustible items requires prior written approval and may require a hot works permit.
Do not bring or activate an open flame without first discussing it with the ArchiPro Events team.
Final approval is subject to venue requirements.
66. What else requires approval?
Please let us know in advance if:
- Your stand exceeds 3.5 metres in height
- You are bringing an item heavier than 20kg
- You require a crane
- You require rigging
- You would like to hang anything from the venue structure
- You require additional AV
- You require gas cylinders
- You intend to use naked flames or combustible items
- You are bringing specialist moving equipment
- Your installation has unusual access or safety requirements
If you are unsure, it is always better to ask before event day.
PACK-OUT
67. When can we start packing out?
Pack-out begins from 9.00pm, once the event has finished.
Please do not begin dismantling your display while guests are still in the venue.
All exhibitors must be completely packed out by midnight on Friday, 16 October 2026.
ArchiPro does not have access to the venue the following day.
68. Can I leave products at the venue overnight and collect them the next day?
No, unless you have received prior approval from the Events team.
Outgoing items need to be collected by midnight on Friday, 16 October.
Items left behind without an agreed arrangement may be considered abandoned.
69. What if a courier is collecting my display after the event?
You are responsible for coordinating your outgoing delivery and ensuring all items are clearly labelled.
Collections must take place within the confirmed pack-out window.
Please share any unusual collection requirements with the Events team before event day.
70. What if I require the crane during pack-out?
Please tell us in advance.
Crane access needs to be coordinated as part of the pack-out schedule and cannot be assumed to be available on demand at the end of the night.
The Events team will provide specific instructions to exhibitors requiring crane access.
GENERAL QUESTIONS
71. Who are the other exhibitors?
The Home Design Evening event page will showcase participating exhibitors as they are confirmed.
We also encourage exhibitors to use the networking period before doors open to meet the other brands and professionals participating in the evening.
72. What should I do if my stand requirements change?
Please tell us as soon as possible.
Changes involving heavy products, stand dimensions, power, AV, rigging, cranes or unusual access requirements can affect wider event logistics.
The earlier we know, the more likely we are to be able to accommodate the change.
73. Who should I contact if I have a question that is not answered here?
Please contact the ArchiPro Events team:
Torah & Max
event@archipro.com.au
If your question relates to a large delivery, crane, rigging, heavy item or unusual stand installation, please include as much information as possible, including dimensions, weights, quantities and photos where relevant.
